Grants, rebates, and programs for strata energy upgrades

This page is regularly updated with news on local council, state, and federal government programs that offer rebates, grants, or other incentives to help apartment buildings improve their sustainability, electrify, and reduce energy costs.

City of Sydney Green Buildings Grants for Apartment Buildings

The last round of grant funding closed on the 12th of August 2025. We hope the highly successful program will run again in 2026.

We can guide your site through the grant process: collect documents and data. Conduct a walk-through site inspection. Prepare a detailed proposal in-line with City of Sydney’s grant requirements and tailored to meet your needs and goals. Assist with the on-line grant application form.

Waverley Council Building Futures

In 2025/26 the Building Futures program continues strongly into its 8th year. One of the most comprehensive and successful local council programs offers energy assessments to identify energy saving opportunities, meeting with the site to present the findings, implementation support to help sites get and compare quotes, and some funding to help sites implement.
